TRUMP MEETS WITH PROMINENT RABBIS AT THE WHITE HOUSE IN HISTORIC PRE-ROSH HASHANAH GATHERING 🇺🇸

NEW: Vice President JD Vance joined historic meeting between leading Rabbi's and President Trump. Here are some new details from today's historic Oval Office meeting: In the Oval Office seating arrangement, Rav Malkiel Kotler was seated first, followed by Satmar Rebbe Reb Zalmen Leib and then Satmar Rebbe Reb Ahron. Vice President JD Vance joined the meeting midway and personally greeted those seated around the table. Vance praised the Jewish community’s strong emphasis on family and education, saying both are issues close to him. At one point, he asked about the different colors of the Rebbes’ bekitches. Yossi Gestetner jokingly replied that “it depends on their bank account balance,” drawing laughter from the room. Congressman Mike Lawler and Jared Kushner were also present. Martin Marks, the White House Jewish liaison, opened the meeting, followed by remarks from White House staff secretary willscharf. Yoeli Rosenfeld of Bobov, Rabbi Segedin of Satmar, Skver Mayor Yisroel Moshe Spitzer and others raised community concerns, with significant attention given to conditions facing Jewish prisoners in federal and state prisons across the country. Upon arriving at the meeting, the two Satmar Rebbes warmly greeted each other and exchanged brachos. Reb Ahron also wished his brother Reb Reb Zalmen Leib Mazel Tov on the engagement of a grandchild that was finalized the previous night. Discussion points included protecting Chareidi educational independence from New York state requirements. The Viznitz Rebbe of Monsey arrived slightly late and therefore missed the official White House group photo. Later, Satmar Rebbe Reb Ahron held a private roughly 10-minute meeting with President Trump together with Jared Kushner, after which the other Rabbonim were brought into the Oval Office. Reb Ahron made the bracha on President Trump, which Rabbi Segedin translated for the president. White House Jewish liaison Martin Marks organized the gathering over several months as a chance for New Year greetings and appreciation of administration support for Orthodox institutions.

At my son’s school, approximately half the buses have reportedly been arriving an hour late, while some buses allegedly do not show up at all. How is this acceptable? Where is the accountability? To make matters even worse, I have spoken with people from multiple schools who all say the same thing: there is nobody to talk to. Parents feel ignored. Schools feel powerless. When parents try to get answers, they often receive no response—or worse, they feel they are spoken to rudely. This is not simply an inconvenience anymore. These are children. Parents deserve answers: * Who is responsible for fixing this? * Why are children spending hours waiting or riding on buses? * Why are multiple schools being combined onto the same routes? * If more money is being requested, why does the service appear to be getting worse? * And most importantly, who is holding LSTA accountable? And Now There Are Rumors That LSTA Could Be Shutting Down There are serious rumors circulating that the company may be shutting down. At this point, these are unconfirmed rumors, but the fact that parents are hearing them only adds to the fear and uncertainty surrounding an already broken transportation system. Parents deserve to know what is happening. If there is any truth to these rumors, families need answers immediately. What happens to the thousands of children who depend on buses every single day? It is not right for parents. It is not right for schools. And most importantly: It is not right for our children. Enough with unanswered calls, late buses, missing buses, long rides, and children waiting outside. Lakewood families deserve answers. Our children deserve safe and reliable transportation. And someone needs to be held accountable.
