HOCKEY VIDEO: BRUINS SCORE FROM CENTER ICE ON A FLUKE GOAL VS SABRES IN GAME

A gift like that can completely flip momentum—those are the kinds of goals that haunt a goalie and swing a playoff game fast. If you’re the Boston Bruins, you’ll take it all day… if you’re the Buffalo Sabres, that’s a brutal one to give up.

BREAKING:PETE ALONSO HITS 300TH CAREER HOME RUN — AT CITI FIELD, AGAINST THE METS

NEW YORK — You couldn’t write the script any better. Pete Alonso returned to Citi Field this week as a member of the Baltimore Orioles. One night after receiving a hero’s welcome from Mets fans, the Polar Bear delivered an unforgettable moment — his 300th career home run, in Queens, against his former team. Trailing by a run in the top of the ninth inning Tuesday night, Alonso stepped to the plate against Mets right-hander Kodai Senga. Then he made history. Alonso crushed a 2-0 pitch over the wall for a game-tying solo home run, becoming the latest member of baseball’s 300-home-run club. The reaction at Citi Field was remarkable. Although Alonso was wearing an Orioles uniform, Mets fans erupted in cheers, chanting his name as he rounded the bases. The former Mets star then received a curtain call from the Citi Field crowd — an extraordinary scene for a player who had just tied the game against the home team. The homer was Alonso’s 124th career home run at Citi Field, but the first one he hit there while wearing another uniform. For seven seasons, Alonso was the face of the Mets’ lineup, hitting 264 home runs for New York, the most in franchise history. He left the Mets after the 2025 season and signed a five-year, $155 million contract with Baltimore. Now, his 300th home run has come in perhaps the most poetic location possible.
